Dr. Fathi Amsaad, a distinguished figure in the field of microelectronics, recently led a delegation of his accomplished graduate students to the prominent 2023 Microelectronics Workforce Strategy Forum. This noteworthy conference, which convened in Columbus, Ohio, was designed to address critical issues concerning the development of robust microelectronics workforce strategies.
Organized and supported by key entities including the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Parallax Advanced Research, and the State of Ohio, the event served as a gathering point for State of Ohio officials, governors, congressmen, talented students, and professionals hailing from both industry and academia. The forum took place at the esteemed Ohio State University (OSU).

Dr. Amsaad, known for his leadership as the head of the Semiconductor Microelectronics Assurance, Resilience, and Trust (SMART) Cybersecurity Research Lab, made a significant impact at the event. Together with his graduate students, he presented a selection of the ongoing projects originating from the SMART Lab, located at Wright State University’s 490 Joshi Research Center within the Computer Science and Engineering Department.
